Do you make international flags?

Yes. We manufacture everything in house from screen printed flags to Digital Imaged flags and also hand stitched appliquéd) flags. Most National flags have specific ratio's and where required we match to the correct Protocol.

Over 80% of our work is made to order. Our tolerances are so fine we make flags and banners for large organisations requiring measurements to be within 2mm. Of course we also make flags for all sorts of venues and events. Specific finishings, eyelets, cords, clips, ropes, dowels, ties and Velcro. Whatever the finish, we provide it.

What are they made of?

A:

 

Flags were originally made from feathers by the Mayans and Incas. Through the centuries flags were made of cloth and these days we make them from Polyester. There are over 20 Polyester materials to choose from. Some indoor, some outdoor. Please describe the intended usage to your consultant and they will assist you to choose the right one for your project.

Can my flag have the same image on two sides correctly reading?

A:

 

Digital printing is least the expensive option for this result. The fabric is called DUET and has a block out material compressed between the fabric. It allows us to image two completely different images, or the same image reading correctly on either side.

Will the flag last 10 years?

A:

 

No. Most cheap flags imported will last 1 - 2 months. Flag manufacturers promote their flags to last 3 - 6 months. It depends on the weather conditions over the flying life and also which method and material you choose.

Can I wash or dry clean my flag?

A:

 

Yes. However, be warned, just like your clothes, if you put bleach into the wash it will take the colour out. We recommend gentle cycle cold wash, with just a dash of powder.

Is my flag repairable if the ends are tatty and fraying?

A:

 

If the flag is fraying... send it back to us. We will wash and repair the flag. This usually assists the flag to fly for the same length of time again.

Yes. We have a dedicated large industrial washer and a gas fired oven to dry them.

Do your flags resist Ultra Violet UV rays?

A:

 

The material we buy is coated with UV inhibitors and the ink has UV blockers in it. The sun is a solid enemy to all things external and flags are not exempt.

How long before the flags fade in the sunlight?

A:

 

Usually around 3 months the flags start fading. There is an international scale to which we conform called the Blue Wool Scale. Our flags have been independently tested to rate 6 on this scale. 10 being invincible and 6 being the highest for flag performance.

Will they withstand a hurricane?

A:

 

Yes, for around 5 minutes. The clips are then designed to fail so as not to cause damage to the flagpole. The headband cotton will stretch and snap, and then the flag will fly off into the "never never". Please remove flags when anticipating large storms. You don't leave your washing on the line, so bring your flags in too. They will last much longer.

Will the Banner last forever?

A:

 

No. Most Banners are to herald a new message which is changed at some point in time. Other Banners are to advertise on a more permanent basis. Please give us as much information about the Banner you need so we can assist you to make the right choice for your budget. No point us trying to "gazump" you with your order, we want you to be happy and tell your associates. After all companies who try to sell you what you don't need; usually don't last very long in the market place.

Can I wash my Banner?

Yes. If fabric, be warned, just like your clothes, if you put bleach into the wash it will take the colour out. We recommend gentle cycle cold wash, with just a dash of powder. If PVC you can use some detergent and a sponge, but never use solvents as it will erase the image on the PVC.
