Southern Cross keeps on keeping on, to borrow an old Aussie saying.
On March 1 2004, we launched into Adelaide, buying Wava Corporation, www.wava.com.au. They specialise in
signage and promotional products and were a perfect fit, as we endeavour to grow the business on the East Coast.

We closed the New Zealand office in Christchurch, sighting the size of the market as a constricting factor and
deciding instead to open in Brisbane. Up and running in late 2006, Brisbane is operating on all thrusters.
The market there is steady and as we settle in to some major contracts, our corporate growth is sound.

2007 see's many changes to the factory, offices, staff and in all, our future.
Southern Cross hired our first full time, in house Accountant. We hired our first full time International Marketing Manager.
Aside of the new we celebrated some milestones.
September 2006 was our 60th birthday as a company.
December 2006 was our longest serving company member....a staggering 54 years, Margaret Simpson, retired to a life less hectic.
January 2007 was another quick...whoohoo, for our Finishing Manager, whose been with us since 1987....20 years.
From there in March 2007, we had a quick celebration for Jerzy Kuziak and Leanne Sheffield who have both been with the compay for 13 years.

|
March 2007, We've acquired our 3rd Direct Digital Printer, now "on line" and ready to go.
Our new Cooker arrives in 3 weeks and is 5 times faster than the curent technology.....very exciting.....more speed !!
So to make sense of the new machinery, we're now double capacity to that of 2006 and this will cut lead times from 21 days back to 10 on larger contracts.
This also means for the less volumous orders, they should be made in " a couple of days mate "
