4 Colour Process |
|
|
Where 4-colour process is specified for the manufacture of the work, our firm
is to be furnished with the exact PMS colours. We will account for any loss in
colour during the manufacturing process. For PMS colours when an initial
production batch has been shown to be homogeneous and of quality to or better
than that of the required article, bulk production may commence. |
|
|
Warning: Digital CMYK Printing - Please be aware that CMYK
printing does not accurately reproduce exact PMS colours in all cases. The
quality required and level of accuracy desired should be the determining
factors in making this decision. Refer to Pantone Process Colour Imaging Guide,
solid to process. |

Colour Fastness Dye Dispersal Screen Printing |
|
Dye Dispersal Dye Dispersal printing begins firstly by weighing the colours on
a sensitive set of scales in powder form. It is then mixed and the material
dyed and allowed to dry naturally. Next it is placed in our oven at 160 degrees
until the ink is cured. Once cured the material is then washed in a special
mixture of "eleven herbs and spices", cleaning and softening the material. Our
process is as near to perfect as is humanly possible in this industry, however,
after mixing, drying, heating and washing, there may be slight variations in
the colour requested. The required method is dye dispersal technology utilising
water based dyestuffs. The dye is for the staining of cloth so that both sides
of the fabric is coloured to the desired PMS colours. Preferred dyestuffs are
to be sourced from either Ciba Giegy, 3 M, Yorkshire or Hudson's as these are
recognised dye suppliers. The dye should first be mixed by weight in powder
form, and then water may be added. Once the dye is applied it should be cured
in an oven to no less than 180 degrees. Once cured the dye, now part of the
fabric should be washed and bleached to remove all excesses and also to whiten
and soften the fabric. Where slight change in colour is acceptable due to heat,
air temperature and or washing, the change of colour shall be in depth only and
any change in hue is unacceptable.
