Flags

There are many materials utilised for textile flag and banner production. They are uniquely designed for certain applications and react according to localised conditions enacted upon them. The same material in two differing locations may react completely differently. Please refer to the information under "Materials" in this document.

Materials most often utilised in flag manufacture are Polyester, which may be repaired to increase the longevity of the article. This is only possible where the damage has not encroached on the design in any way. The repair may be completed without any extra material being added.

In most warranted circumstances, the value of the flag may divided by the warranted time, i.e., if the value is $60.00 and the warranted time is 6 months, then the pro rata amount would be $10.00 per month or part therefore. Should the article not reach the warranted time, and then our firm would offer a discount equal to the pro value on the identical replacement article, or on any future order.

This policy is the same as offered to the Olympics, Holden, several City councils around the country, Lend Lease and ACCOR Asia Pacific. To explain the variables, we mean a flag that disintegrates, nothing left, illegible. Some clients have extrapolated this to mean some fading, some clips, which have broken due to high wind, others with slight areas of fraying. If the flag can still fly, be seen and displays the image, design or logo, it is still doing its job. If the colours have faded, the flag is in tatters and the overall "image" of the organisation being promoted is being compromised, then the flag has obviously worn out.

Wind, rain, UV light, and pollution all affect the life of the flag. Our firm ensures the best materials are utilised in manufacture; however, we can't warrant or guard against excessive weather conditions. Our flags and associated apparel are made to withstand winds of 36 metres per second, sustained for no longer than 30 minutes. If winds or storms are predicted then these flags and banners are to be removed.

We are often asked regarding the colourfastness of the inks and dyes we utilise. The answer is simply this; they are colour fast 6 months. Beyond this time, UV light and weather conditions begin to affect the colour and the fabric. The result is the fabric will disintegrate before the colour fades.
